Murray acquired a Bachelor of Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria, and a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from the University of Calgary. He has 25 years of experience in the mental health field, including serving as a counsellor at the Urgent Outpatient Clinic in Victoria and as an interim supervisor for mental health and addictions through Island Health. He also worked as an instructor in the graduate counselling department at Athabasca University for seven years and as an assistant professor for five years. In addition, he reviews and writes course content for various universities in Canada.
Murray works with individuals, couples, and families, focusing on relationships, work-related issues, life transitions, depression, anxiety, addiction, and emotional regulation, among others. He is a relational counsellor and takes pride in helping people who reach out in times of need.
